Beautifully spacious and full of character, The Green Tent is a 7-metre Mongolian-style yurt, handcrafted in Takaka, Golden Bay from sustainably grown New Zealand timbers. Fully insulated and thoughtfully designed for year-round comfort, it’s a peaceful place to slow down, switch off and enjoy a different pace of life.
Inside, you’ll find a luxurious king-size bed, with bunk beds tucked discreetly behind a screen for younger guests. There’s Wi-Fi and a Smart TV when you want to stay connected, along with air conditioning to keep summer days cool and winter nights wonderfully cosy.
Step outside onto the generous covered deck, which connects the yurt to your locally crafted kitchen and stylish private bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need for an easy stay, including a fridge/freezer, microwave, hot plate, kettle, toaster and coffee machine.
And then there are the little things that make staying here special. Run yourself a long outdoor bath, light the campfire and pour a glass of wine as the festoon lights twinkle overhead.
